***THIS BOOK WAS GIVEN TO ME IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***
Harper Madison isn’t like other girls. She has extraordinary powers, but her inability to control them has gotten her kicked from so many foster homes she’s lost count. Shadowford Home is her last chance, and she hopes Peachville High will be the fresh start she needs. But when evidence ties her to the gruesome murder of a Demons cheerleader, Harper discovers this small town has a big secret.
You will feel sorry for her because every foster placement goes wrong, and you will realise it’s not entirely her fault.
When given her last chance – a placement at a boarding school, Peachville High Harper finds that whilst she suspects everything is not as it seems, she can’t put her finger on what’s wrong and settles down to work to get into the cheerleader squad. This is made easier by for some reason, when Harper suffers from what seems to be a bad case of flu the cheerleader squad goes out of their way to recruit her. Before long the head cheerleader is murdered and Harper acquires a boyfriend, though you will by now have realised that the man for her is Jackson. The stage is well and truly set for the coming adventures in the series by the end, but do read it carefully to the end as otherwise you will not get the full enjoyment from the next book, ‘Inner Demons.’ (I have read them all.)
