Synopsis

Still reeling from the death of her father, Alexandria hopes to find both independence and reprieve from her grief by heading off to college. However, life throws her a serious curveball when she discovers that her roommate isn’t quite the person she had imagined.

Smoking, tattoos, and street racing for fast cash are Elijah’s only interests. A harsh life has made him apathetic and indifferent, until Alexandria enters his life. When their paths cross, turmoil abounds.

An inevitable encounter, an undeniable attraction, and an unexpected chance at love—will it be enough?

After Alexandria’s (Alex) father dies of lung cancer three months before she leaves for college, she vows never to date anyone who smokes. Her cousin Jimmy offers her his old college apartment to live in with his old roommate. She obliges and moves in to find out she’s rooming with a total drool-worthy hottie who seems to get all the girls attention (including Alex’s.) The only problem is he smokes, and she has a boyfriend back home that’s three hours away.

Elijah has a tragic past, doesn’t do girlfriends, and only cares about the next one night stand he can get. The attraction they have for one another is instant but Alex still cares about her boyfriend Liam and Elijah doesn’t want to make things complicated since she’s his old roommate’s cousin and his no girlfriend rule.

He tries to keep his distance but they are like two magnets drawn to each other. The more they get to know each other, the more Alex and Elijah care about each other and the more you want them to get together.

The story was so great and believable I couldn’t put it down. It was such a sweet contemporary romance. I definitely give this 5 out of 5. If you love the bad boy and the good girl romance this is definitely for you!
