When Grace, 27 years old and with only a few months left to live, returns to her home town of Brecon, she is catapulted nearly 1800 years into the past. At first she attributes her hallucinations to her brain tumour but as the visions become more detailed and closer to the present day, she becomes involved with a certain wickedly handsome and rather inhuman Roman, who has an obsession with blood.

Grace is forced to confront her fears when the past begins intruding on the present, and she falls deeper in love with her phantom man.

‘Death is only one option.’

A love story with a supernatural twist, it looks at vampires from an unusual angle, knitting together the twelfth century with the present day.

This is the first novel in the Resurrection trilogy.

This book will hook you in from the very first line! It is possibly one of the strongest opening phrases I have seen in a long time … and I read a lot of books!

Just when I think I have probably read pretty much everything in the world of vampire fiction an author comes along and takes me somewhere new.

This book has a little bit of everything and manages to merge it all seamlessly and still leave you wanting more. Don’t let the “romance style” cover fool you. This is a story that will transport you through time …. literally. The characters are vibrant and unique and at times your heart physically aches to make things easier.

I have already chased down book 2 and can’t wait to see where the story goes. I certainly know where I WANT it to … but I have long since learned that authors sometimes have different ideas,

A solid 4 star read ….. if we had 1/2 stars I would probably be tempted to give it 4 1/2. Vampire lovers should definitely check it out!
