Will Caitlyn’s new ability lead her into hot water? Or is her new found vision a blessing that will expose her friends’ true colors?

I thought this story was very unique.  A lot of times you may have a girl or boy who has supernatural powers, who’s an oddball, or has spells to help herself or others, but this is just a story about an ordinary girl who gets a very special gift.  I loved all the characters because they seemed like ordinary high schoolers.  They seem like you actually know them.  At times it did seem a little rushed though.

Caitlyn gets the gift and the homeless man explains it but not as much as I would have liked.  Caitlyn tells her neighbor/crush Eric, about it because she needs to tell someone and he’s always been honest and trustworthy.  He seems ok with it right away and doesn’t question it.  He even helps her to control it.  They also start to date soon after and it’s honestly really sweet.  You’re rooting for them because they seem good for each other.

She notices a few odd things about some kids at school and decides to look into it.  This part does pick up the pace and I was really intrigued by what was going on.  However the pay off was watered down a lot.  I’m not going to spoil it but some of the characters are demanded to do a certain task and if the task isn’t completed it could have severe consequences.  I just though the task didn’t warrant all that could happen to them.

However the climax is great.  It’s very exciting and you honestly don’t expect it.  Overall I have to give it 4 out of 5 because even though I enjoyed it, the task was just a little too tame.
