This book was a quick read, but a good one. I enjoyed the plot, the characters and the “moral” that not everyone is who they appear to be. The characters were instantly likable and relatable and felt like friends. The only downfall was that there was no drama or disbelief when Shawn tells his friends and family that he is a vampire, I expected something, not just acceptance of the tale and no repercussions. I enjoyed the debunking of the myths of vampires and the fact that the author manages to incorporate love, murder, family and fun into the book. This book will become a favorite to many who read it and I know that I am looking forward to another book by this author as I appreciate the style and the fact that love doesn’t overpower the story. Pick this one up soon and I assure you that you won’t be disappointed by it. Enjoy!
