When I picked this book to review I was not aware it was a continuation of a previous book. Having not read the first book I did feel a little lost but I picked up the gist of what happened and moved on with the book.

For the most part the story was good, but predictable, and I didn’t find myself connecting with the characters. I don’t know if it was all the back story I missed or if it was because I could foresee what the outcome was going to be or what, but I found that I didn’t really care what happened to them.

I also found myself being irritated at the number of times her “coffee colored hair” and “floral and sea salt scent” were mentioned. To me it just felt like it was stated too many times.
