About The Book
Cancer snuck up on me when I least expected it. But I imagine everyone probably feels that way. When I got my diagnosis, I was relatively young and otherwise healthy. I was a busy mom, wife, employee and aspiring author. Priorities shifted, and so did my perspective.
Throughout my experience, I sought to become educated and I learned many things – some tangible, some intangible, but all of which I’ll share with you in this quick story. My hope is to further educate and encourage every woman, even if cancer never touches you or anyone you love

“Cancer. Six letters. One little word.”
That sentence hit me harder I think than any other in this remarkable and honest journey that the author shares with us. A journal that spans from the decision to go to the doctor, through the diagnosis and the surgery, complete with author’s notes added in afterwards really let you experience as close to first hand without it being you.
It makes you ask questions nobody really wants to ask. What if it was you? What have you been ignoring? Then it forces you to confront the decisions you are making about how precious your time is and could those decisions be putting your life, or the life of someone you know at risk.
I would urge everyone to take the time to read this. All proceeds are going to a very worth cause. Let’s get the word out there!
