She’s mine.

That was the first thought that came to my mind when I held my baby in my arms at seventeen. I didn’t care that my parents had already promised to give her to a wealthy family. That they were forcing me to give her away.

She was mine.

I ran away from that hospital, from that family, from the only life I knew. I planned to start over with what little money I had, determined to make something of myself despite the odds.

 Then Logan Tate came along.

Gorgeous and controlling, he claimed he was trying to help me, and he didn’t care that I was just another teenage pregnancy story.

But I don’t trust him. I don’t trust anyone. And if Logan knew the real secrets and lies I was keeping inside, he wouldn’t dare try to shelter me.

The synopsis for Shelter You gives you only a tease of what this story is about, because it is so much more than the typical teen pregnancy love story. Mia’s selfless love of her baby Lily with a need to protect her at all cost. Logan a man with a pure and kind heart, and the love story is born out of his need to protect and care for a Mia and Lily. You will go on an emotional roller coaster ride with this book and at times need the tissue, as well as laugh out loud too. Then there is the unexpected plot twist and turns that you will not see coming, you will start to think one thing, but not this.

From the very beginning starting with the prologue you are drawn into this story and you will not want to put it down until you reach the end. The Author describes the characters in detail, but not all at once. The author takes you along for the ride and gives you what you need as the story progresses. I love this style of writing, because it is like painting you a picture and you can close your eyes and your there with them on this unexpected, tug at your heart strings, and unconventional journey to their HEA.

This Book has it all, mystery, love, fear, courage, selfless acts of love and kindness, tension, heart break, and most of all a HEA. I would have liked the end of the story to go on for a few more chapters and given a little more of the HEA, but it was still a great book. I would recommend this book to anyone who would love a great, but unconventional love story.
