When you make a deal with the Devil, it can be Hell…

Acelynn made a deal to save her sister’s soul, kill Satan’s son or become Satan’s bride. It seemed impossible to find a legend like Cain, but after decades she finally got a lucky break. This break happens to be one sexy immortal, the type of man Acelynn can’t let herself fall for. He’s full of hope, a light shining brightly, and all Acelynn knows is darkness. And the darkness keeps growing as vampires, werewolves, and other magical creatures change the course of her journey. Will her heart be the only thing that stands in the way of saving her sister’s soul? Or will she always be bound by sacrifice?

I’ve read a lot of fantasy books in my time and I have never come across a book like this before.  All the characters were so well developed and there were bigger and better surprises all the time.  Acelynn is working for Satan to save her sister.  Her job is to kill his son.  If she doesn’t succeed, she will have to become Satan’s bride.  For 78 years she has searched for Cain to end her torment.  After making some new friends along the way, Tom and Abel, the darkness in her is starting to get lighter and unexpected feelings are starting to come when Abel is around.

I loved the first half of this story.  Towards the middle is when veered off and it started to seem like a whole new story took over.  It wasn’t bad; it just seemed a little out of place with the first half and a little slower.  New characters and even new unexpected twists arise.  The last 20 pages however really bring it home.  Nothing you expect happens, and the twists are mind blowing!

I highly recommend this story, and can’t wait for book two to come out.  Hopefully that won’t be too long.  However, even though the beginning and ending are amazing, I have to give it only 4 out of 5 stars because I did get a little bored of the slower pace in the middle.
