From the first moment Dylan meets Jeremy, she’s attracted to him. But she soon finds the fame and press can wear on you. Plus, Jeremy seems to be hiding things from her- including his relationship with the mysterious blue-haired girl.
Tracks takes you on a ride through the not so glamorous side of dating a rock star- sex, drugs, rock and roll.
Review by Amber From The Nerd Girl Team!!
Tracks is a dark, raw, and emotional book. I was seriously speechless after I finished it. But I must warn you though, this is not your typical bad boy, rock star romance kind of book. Yes, there’s romance and yes, there are hot scenes, but the story line covers some really serious topics that may hit close to home for some people. The seriousness of this book is what I think makes it so great. It has a raw truth to the storyline that I believe people can relate too. If not have been threw themselves.
“…when you love someone, their problems become your problems, and their pain becomes your pain.”
This line from the book spoke to me in such a way that I truly had a tear come to my eye. This author does a wonderful job in catching the essence of love. Whether it is family love, passionate love or child love. She captures the true depth of its essence and brings it to life in her writing.
Dylan has just moved to Boston to go to Harvard Law School with her best friend, Theresa. Jeremy Mason is a famous child prodigy who now happens to be a famous rock star. Jeremy is in Boston on his major tour. When fate plays its card, they meet and are forever changed. Their lives intertwine and it is a roller coaster ride from there. Sex, Drugs and Rock and Roll are always a clincher, but this book gives you more than that.
While reading this story I found myself on the edge of my seat wishing I read faster. As I turned each page and got further into the story I felt as if I was a car about to collide with an oncoming train. I could not breathe and then you read the next page and BAM. Right in your face you feel this cold terror and you want to put the book down, but you are compelled to read more. This book is one that is in a class all its own. A powerful storyline with even more powerful characters. As for the ending well… There is sort of a cliff hanger, but not an OMG life altering one. You can plainly see there is more to this story and you will want to read more! I recommend this book for ALL to read and am very excited to read the next installment.
