A first Love Never Dies- Margaret Taylor
***Review From Laura From The Nerd Girl Page ***
*This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review*
I just want to start by saying I loved this book and I love Margaret Taylor’s brain! This story was different and it’s the second book I have read by this author that has given me a new original story or twist.
Janel is returning to her hometown for her high school reunion. It has been twenty years since left and never came back. She takes her second in command Moren with her for support, because not only was Janel bullied horrifically by these people in high school she’s also there for a reason that has nothing to do with her reunion. Moren isn’t even human, Janel now works for Sci-Corp, she hasn’t stepped foot on earth in years. Can Jake, they guy she secretly loved through high school give her what she needs on her short trip back before her time is up?
Janel is strong, independent and a serious heroin. She’s worked her ass off to get where is and she doesn’t take crap from anyone. Moren, every time he speaks I’m hearing his voice as if he’s Spock, I don’t know why but I can’t help myself. It just endears me to him more to be honest! The story is well written and never feels like any words are wasted to pad it out. and usually when I love a short story I want more, but I wouldn’t want to change this I didn’t feel like it was dragged out or padded the story felt full to me.
I can’t wait for the next installment and this author is definitely on my favourite list!
